Let's Go To Prison

First off, never see that movie. Second off, check out this headline from the LA Times:

Report: More than 1 in every 100 Americans now behind bars

Now, I'm just going to throw this out there, but what if we switched? Meaning, take the innocent people, throw them in prison, and give the prisoners the run of the country? Reasons:

1) If the prison population is increasing as quickly as the LA Times fears, then eventually we'll all be in prison anyhow, so why not just speed things up?

2) Putting the innocent people in prison makes us that much safer from the criminals.

3) If a previously innocent person commits a crime, it's much easier to just take them and throw them OUT of a prison, than to catch them, and throw them INTO a prison.

Just a thought.
