Can I just say that I'm enjoying our new governor a whole lot? Things he's mentioned in a pretty straight-forward manner:

- Had an affair for years, as did his wife. They worked on their marriage, and agreed to be honest with each other, and are fine now.

- May have had a love child with some other woman. Dismissed this rumor as, "People have always said I had a love child."

- Did coke a bunch of times. When asked about this, said, "Yes, I did coke a bunch of times probably when I was 22 or 23."

The thing that's great about this is that his straight-forward honesty, regardless of what you feel about the content, has left the press entirely flummoxed as to how to deal with him. They're still doing the sexy covers to the papers, but they can't sustain the story, because he answers every question directly, and doesn't seem bothered by any of it.

Are we entering some sort of Po-Mo "Politicians are honest" era? What's going on?
