Rocket Act

So yesterday we were rehearsing Rudolph for the Aspen showcase that we're doing on Monday. One of Chris' lines is "Oh, I'm sorry, I just figured you didn't want an UGLY FREAKSHOW CIRCUS ACT FOR A SON!"

Except instead of saying that, he said that he figured that Jeff didn't want an "Ugly Freakshow ROCKET Act" for a son.

This floored Jeff. I didn't laugh quite so hard at first, as I didn't hear it properly. I just thought he said something random, like Ugly Freakshow Radakack. Which, in my defense, would not have been so surprising, as one time when we were rehearsing the same exact skit and he was saying the same exact line, Chris once said "Ugly freakshow KNOCKERSHOCK". When I heard that he said Rocket act, that's when I started laughing really hard.

Later on in the rehearsal, Chris said the line exceedingly deliberately and hilariously, possibly the best its ever been delivered without calling it a Rocket Act or a Knockershock. Because those are just unbeatable.

Speaking of Chris and rockets, everyone should read his review of Joe's and Famous Joe's on the webpage. It is among my favorite 15 things on the webpage not written by ME. Actually sincerely, it's hilarious.
