***SPOILERS***
Lost is almost impossibly good. Seriously. Things that are amazing:
- Lost is never better than when it's gearing up for a season finale. Last night was the first third of the season finale. It was amazing.
- The hero montage at the end nearly made me crap my pants and cry and scream for joy, all at the same time. Bully to the composer for consistently creating the best themes on TV.
- Ben's "Are you crazy" look to Locke.
- Batmanuel showing up, and being such a surprise... Even though there's zero reason it should have been a surprise.
- That scene with Claire's Mom, and Jack's silent reaction.
- The press not being retarded.
- Admiral Kane!!!
What did you guys think? Predictions for the season finale (in two frakking weeks)? Personally... I'm really, really worried for Desmond, Jin, and Michael; though I know that's exactly where they want me to be.

Somebody Just Got Fired
This is a clip played on NBC, during the season finale of Medium, at approx. 10:27pm. I videoed it, and uploaded it for you guys.
That's Sue Simmons, local NBC News anchor, right? And somebody was trying to "get back at her," or something?
Holy crap.
Update: They just ran the next "coming up at 11" promo, with only Chuck Scarborough's voice, no anchors.
Update 2: The wikipedia entry already says this:
"On May 12, 2008, as a news update began to fade away to commercial, Sue Simmons can be heard saying "What the F*** are you doing."
On May 13, 2008, Sue Simmons was replaced."
If this is a ploy to get me to watch NBC news tonight, it's working.
Update 3: All right, news has started, no mention of the incident, and both Chuck and Sue are present. There was a weird moment where Chuck's audio just faded out, but everything seems to be normal?

The Description Of The Next Futurama Movie According To Wikipedia
"A planet-sized tentacled alien from another universe comes through a rift in time and space and takes control of Fry, making him pope of a new religion. This religion is practiced by all on Earth, who are persuaded into abandoning Earth and allowing all the robots in the world to inherit it."
OK, I'm in.

Iorn Man
So to "celebrate" the release of Iron Man in theaters, Macy's has dedicated it's 8th avenue display windows to props from the movie, which is fun. One of the windows is exclusively dedicated to Tony Stark's awards and accolades.
Looking closely, however, I noticed that one of them was the "Engineering Genuis" award, which I think is kinda funny in an ironic kind of way. I hope that was intentional. But probably not.
Somebody else noticed it too:
One And A Half Years Late
One of my favorite parts of the 2006 World Series, was that every time Cardinals' pitcher Jeff Suppan would get two strikes on a batter, the St. Louis faithful would yell his nickname in unison:
"Soooooooooooooooooooooooup! Soooooooooooooooooooooooup!"
I think cheering the word soup at the top of your lungs is ridiculous.
Would you like this concept explained for you at length, so that its ridiculousness is completely nullified? Then go to this wikipedia page!

Colbert vs. Rain
Continuing our round-up of what's awesome on television channels, I would argue that Colbert Report is the best show on Comedy Central, and quite possibly, the best show on television. Mainly because he's set it up so he can do anything, like this:
...which is even more incredible when you know the history behind it.

Metalocalypse
Is anyone else watching this? Am I wrong in saying it's the best show on Adult Swim right now? I don't think so?
The episode on last night (Fashion Disaster) was frakking hilarious, and totally, totally awesome. I wish there was a clip online of the scene in the supermarket, where the band Dethklok discusses going on a diet*, but since that's not, here's the opening clip, which might be considered TAFW (Too Awesome For Work):
*Ending with the band-leader summing it up thusly:
"So, let me get this straight... We'll have one big meal right before bed, and also, we can have some bread, sometimes, because we're not Nazis, and during the day, all the popsicles we can eat?"

Iron Man?
More like I Am Can!
Yeah, I don't know what I mean, either.
A) This movie rocked.
B) I stayed up very late the night before we have a new show (that's tonight!) to see this. Bad idea?
C) I'm curious to hear what non-comic book fans have to say, as this was a very comic fan friendly movie.
D) Do not, under any circumstances, leave before the credits are over. I think my brain melted.
