SpongeBob

I would just like to point out that there is a song on the SpongeBob Movie soundtrack by the Flaming Lips called "SpongeBob and Patrick Confront the Psychic Wall of Energy." That's awesome.

Also contributing to the soundtrack: The Shins, Avril Lavigne, Ween and Wilco.

Geoff.

What are you doing posting about SpongeBob at 3 o'clock in the morning?

Per your recommendation, Geoff, I gave a listen to the soundtrack this morning, and it pretty much rules - I listened to the Lips song, the Wilco one, the one that Prince Paul does plus the one about a bubble-blowing stand. Very, very entertaining. That Spongebob is so irrepressibly happy it's contagious.

Maybe it's time for me to become a Spongebob fan.

I've totally finished the Season 1 DVDs Geoff leant me, if you want to borrow them.

With Geoff's permission, I mean.

Sure, that would be awesome. Thanks, Alex! (with Geoff's permission, of course)

Oh, man, I sure hope this blog turns into a way for us to keep track of our various DVD-lending transactions. :)

Answering your questions in chronological order:

-I was dealing with some insomnia stemming from the fact that I didn't go to sleep before 3ish all T-Giving Break

-Yes, SpongeBob IS awesome, particularly that song about him. Though I think the Shins one is my favorite.

-That is fine with me, as long as it is fine with Pat-Pat, my brother who actively owns the DVD set.

-I SAID I would check with Pat-Pat. Gimme some time here.

Uh, holy crap: The Shins song rules, the Ween song rules & then there's also a MOTORHEAD SONG. Wow. Spongebob crosses all boundaries. Granted this is a novelty-ish soundtrack, but it's a damn good one.

And "Best Day Ever" by Spongebob himself will be my springtime anthem when the weather gets good again - and a mix CD staple in the near future, you mark my words.
