Free Tivos for San Fran

Live in the San Francisco area? Get a free Tivo box:

TiVo freebie has lump of coal for Comcast

Evidently*, Comcast was supposed to release their DVR service in SF this week, but won't be able to set it up for a while. So to jump into the lag, Tivo is giving out free 40-hour boxes tomorrow morning, while supplies last. Just bring your cable bill and a gift for The Family Giving Tree charity to their headquarters between 11am and 1pm, and the free Tivo box is yours.

Just to mention, you still need to pay the subscription fee, but that's only $12 a month, or $250 for a lifetime subscription, so whatevs.

If you do get a free Tivo, perhaps you should remember who told you about it, and come see Elephant Larry when we perform in your area in January...

And also, maybe you should also remember that it was az3456@hotmail.com that told you about it.

This is the season for giving, after all. So give me Tivo Rewards Points.

*In regards to evidently, we got a memo at work the other day reminding us of the difference between "evidently" and "apparently." Apparently, you use evidently when you are sure about something, and apprently when its not 100% certain. Evidently, I'm not looking at the memo right now, so I'm not 100% certain that's correct.
