While waiting on line/in line/in queue/on queue at the grocery store just now, I saw this month's cover of Mothering (you know...the magazine of natural family living?).
Anyway, one of the headlines made me laugh:
BREASTFEEDING AND THE LAW
What Mothers Need to Know
Ha. Maybe it's the slightly threatening capitalization. I dunno. Either way, I enjoy ridiculing things not immediately relevent to my own demographic.

That reminds me--I need to renew my subscription to "Twentysomething Sketch Comic Quarterly".
I read on a some nondated, possibly unreliable site that an average of 12,000 women are arrested for public breastfeeding every year.
If that's true, it's totally crazy. What kind of cop arrests a mother for that?
Oh, and if you're curious, the site was part of the "Topless" webring, which also included a number of other sites not really concerned with a woman's right to breastfeed. Hm.
