Mole-heap?

I think my co-worker, instead of using the common phrase:

"Made a mountain out of a molehill"

just used the phrase:

"Made a monkey out of a mole-heap"

Then again, us Elephant Larry boys are prone to mis-hearings. But man, I would swear this one.

I do think the biggest problem with that phrase is "mole-heap." Otherwise, it does follow.

You should NOT make a monkey out of a mole-hill. Or a heap of moles. Actually, just don't make monkeys out of moles, period.

I'm sorry I have to ask this but does one find a mole-heap in a mole outhouse.

NO, right?

Good, I'm glad I clarified that for everybody.

Good.
