Everything I Do, I Do it For You...

Last night’s season finale of Arrested Development was incredible. Seriously. If you didn't catch it, the show was literally a solid wall of excellent jokes, one after the other.

It also expertly encapsulated all the themes of the season, brought everything full circle, and yet, set things up for at least another full season of stories.

Here's the problem. Arrested Development is currently considered "On the Bubble," meaning that it may or may not come back. The fact that it doesn't get great ratings, and had its episode order cut from 22 to 18 doesn't help things.

But, there is something you can do. USA Today runs a "Save Our Shows!" campaign every year, asking people to vote for the shows On the Bubble, saying whether you want them to be kept, dropped, or don't care. The only catch is, you have to vote for EVERY show on the list, or it doesn't count.

So, its a little more time intensive than just clicking a button. But, Arrested Development is worth it.

The other important thing to note here is that for the past three years, the show that won the "Save Our Shows" campaign has been renewed for another season...

Now, I don't normally go this crazy for a show, but AD is clearly one of the most inventive shows, ever, and it only gets richer with time. If you haven't had a chance to see it yet, seriously, come over my apartment and I'll watch it with you. The episodes actually get funnier the more you watch them.

SAVE OUR SHOWS (But just worry about Arrested Development)

After Gob said "Dad is gonna be crushed," I couldn't stop laughing...until the next commercial break, conveniently enough!

I was really amazed how many things were brought full circle as you mentioned. It made me wonder what they thought the cancellation status was at the time they produced the episode. I thought it could work as a series finale but certainly didn't preclude more episodes.

Though I felt this season's episodes lacked the same forward momentum as the first one( there seemed like there was a chunk where Michael would learn the same lesson every episode) it's still one of the most entertaining shows on TV right now.
