NFL Saturday

The Giants remaining three games will be on Saturdays which, I gotta tell ya, is strange. And terrifically inconvenient today, as the Giants game will probably end around the time Ninja Xmas III starts. The things I do for comedy!

Prediction: Giants will play better today. I find that they often play to the level of competition, and the Chiefs are good. Larry Johnson will run effectively, remember that he plays basketball and sign with the Charlotte Bobcats. Tiki Barber will carry the Giant offense, as everyone else depends on Eli getting them the ball and Eli has been...shaky.

Giants win 30-24. Eh, let's get a slightly crazier score. 32-26. Yeah, I like that, 32-26.

So Geoff, I hope you've learned your lesson not to stick your neck out with bold predictions such as
Tiki would carry the Giants. Boy were you off. Way off. It was the Chiefs he carried - on his back - all the way to the endzone -and all points in between. And when not carrying, trampling over, or quantum leaping - or quantum dodging - to avoid their pathetic attempts - to at least touch him. Woa, I've never seen a performance like it.

You forgot to mention what the next two Saturdays are: Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

To make matters worse, the New Year's Eve grudge match between the Raiders and Giants begins at 8 p.m., EST. If the game goes just a little bit long, it shakes up your timing for the rest of the night. It also puts a damper on the venue (pick a shady bar, if you can). And if the Giants lose and are knocked out of the playoffs, it could be a decidedly not happy start to a Happy New Year.
