I officially recommend Daniel H. Wilson's "How To Survive A Robot Uprising." I haven't quite finished it yet, but I'm going to go ahead and assume the last twenty pages don't contain any viciously offensive things that make me look the jerk.

I find that you can't beat a book that has chapters like:
-How To Enhance Yourself With Cybernetic Implants
-How To Use Directed Energy Weapons
and, my favorite,
-How To Stop A Giant Walking Robot

Burst out laughing in the middle of a Subway on that last one.

Funny and informative. The simmering tension between man and robot is dealt with very tastefully, I might add.
