The Cheney Incident

I've gotta say, I am shocked at the severe underreporting about this incident.

So Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot a friend while hunting quail. If this was an isolated incident, I could see it getting the middling amount of press coverage it has gotten. But this is just another in a string of Vice Presidential inferiority complexes gone horribly awry.

To wit:

2006: Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shoots a friend while hunting quail.

1991: Vice President Dan Quayle accidentally shoots a friend while trying to shoot a bush.

1981: Immediately upon inauguration, Vice President George H. W. Bush accidentally shoots a friend while trying to shoot previous Republican Vice President Nelson Rockefeller. Rockefeller was already dead at the time.

1976: Rockefeller may have been dead, but he was no saint when he was alive. HE accidentally shot a friend while trying to shoot cars. The make of the cars? Fords.

1804: Vice President Aaron Burr accidentally shoots Alexander Hamilton while aiming for Thomas Jefferson.

Coincidence? I'll let you be the judge.

Unrelated fun fact!: Did you know the Parliament-Funkadelic is over 200 years old? Wow!
