The One

Folks looking to use the 1 train late at night, beware.

Though there are many stops on this local line (including stops at 14th street and 18th street, which is the shortest distance between stops I'VE ever heard of), it is the fastest damn subway in the city. Last night, on the way to catch the 12:30 am Staten Island Ferry, I timed how long the doors were open for at each stop.

Three seconds.

Three seconds maybe sounds like enough time, but honestly, you'd better be standing right next to the doors. Cuz baby, as soon as they're open they are shutting.

Let that be a lesson to you all: the subway is no place for the slow or faint-hearted.

Update!: I got my enter key working!
