I'm having trouble determining whether this song makes perfect sense or absolutlely no sense whatsoever.

Either it's about a guy trying to hit it with a girl right before he leaves in a day or two (real nice, dude) or it's about a crazy guy who enjoys "talking away," being "odds and ends," and "playing worries away." Also, he has some kind of major problem connecting his subjects and verbs. At least he knows how to correct it.
