*Yes, I realize Will Smith also makes music. What I mean is, Rihanna is to summer songs what Will Smith is to July 4th**.
**In case this still isn't clear for those of you who were born in the past three years, every summer, there'd be a blockbuster summer movie starring Will Smith that came out on July 4th and would be a huge hit. So big, in fact, that Will Smith declared himself the king of summer. Rihanna, for the last three summers, has released huge summer singles: "Pon de Replay," "SOS," and now "Umbrella," which despite the ridiculous subject matter*** will be a huge hit that will blast everywhere this summer****.
***Umbrellas.
