Overheard

...on the subway yesterday, three kind of lumpy looking businesspeople:

1: Now, this is just my idea, but I think we're headed for a rather big recession.

2: You think so?

1: I hope not, but yes.

3: I guess that would mean the end of tasting menus.

2: Better enjoy this one, then, because it might be the last.

[They all laugh.]

1: [Completely seriously] No, I don't think things are that bad.

3: Let's just try to have a good time, okay?
