Here's something for all you Napoleon Dynamite fanatics:
The Idaho Legislature has officially passed a bill commending the hit indie film. For real.
Now granted, this is pretty amusing, but am I the only asshole who actively disliked this movie?

i read the post too fast and though it said "condemning" and that made sense to me. then i read the bill and grew increasingly confused. followed by angry, hungry and then confused again. finally, i realized you said "commended", which means "praised" or thereabouts, and was confused again, but for different reasons.
and i passively disliked the movie. seriously.

I seem to remember that a Mr. Sean Spagnoli from the Skits-O-Phrenics actively disliked "Napoleon Dynomite," so there's at least one other person. I bet there are more!
I liked it just fine, but not to the point of quoting it or commending it as a U.S. State. Not that I could commend it as a state even if I wanted to.
I actually preferred the blaxploitation version "Napoleon Dynomite" to the original.
Now, I realize I'm a little late to this party, I do want to highly recommend that people read the full text of the bill. My favorite whereas (among many, many, many):
WHEREAS, any members of the House of Representatives or the Senate of the Legislature of the State of Idaho who choose to vote "Nay" on this concurrent resolution are "FREAKIN' IDIOTS!" and run the risk of having the "Worst Day of Their Lives!"
The close runner-ups:
WHEREAS, tater tots figure prominently in this film thus promoting Idaho's most famous export; and
WHEREAS, the friendship between Napoleon and Pedro has furthered multiethnic relationships; and
WHEREAS, Uncle Rico's football skills are a testament to Idaho athletics.
WOW! I love it. Idaho must be having a lotta fun out there.
