(D)Oa(R)kland

Happily, on the way out to Oakland Airport last Friday, I was able to take the following picture from the train:

Don’t worry. It’s natural to cry a little when regarding such raw and delicate beauty with the naked eye.

Okay, justification time: According to a distant cousin-in-law, those weird oil rig things scattered throughout Oakland’s shoreline actually inspired George Lucas’s infamous Imperial Walkers.

And having actually taken the time now to research it slightly more, it may have been these guys instead, but who cares? I think it's totally obvious to absolutely everyone that my picture's exactly one million times better.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And days of Cho Yang Line?
And days of Cho Yang Line, my dear,
And days of Cho Yang Line.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And days of Cho Yang Line?

To be honest, I'm more excited/worried about what could possibly he hidden in the "UNIGLORY" trailer. Sounds like there's a whole population whose options for glory have either been a) so well honed they only need one, or b) painfully limited.

Took me a little while but I finally figured out what the title of this post meant.

That "a" really threw me off.
