The barkers on 42nd street always get me tongue-tied. Them, "Hey, do YOU like comedy." Me, trying to scurry away, "Sorry." Them, "What!? You're SORRY you don't like comedy." Me, feeling ashamed to have implied that repeat "I'm sorry." Them, "What's wrong with you?"
