Is 70% Too High To Ask?

While browsing the local Barnes & Noble yesterday afternoon, I found a book written by a famous environmentalist. The back cover overflowed with quotes praising the author’s keen insight and brave integrity, which frustrated me. A close friend of mine has worked closely with the author before and knows him to be anything but.

That said, I think it would be nice if, upon dying, you’re given some sort of Ultimate Truth Score. It would be a grade or a percentage, and would represent—out of all the ideas you’ve accumulated and accepted and relied upon throughout your entire life—it would tell you how many of those “facts” are actually, by the Universe’s standards, True.

And then the numbers would transform into sharp, fiery blades and slice and stab all those motherfuckers who lied to you.

I think that'd be nice.
