Imagine driving across a bridge into the city proper, with a beautiful skyline staring you in the face and this giant neon sign dominating the foreground. Awesome.
PS This was my favorite part of the city, not the festival. The festival was freaking awesome.

I hear that in Portland, all the bridges are made of roses.
Weird! Geoff, the stag on Portland's historical White Stag sign just told me yesderday he CAN'T WAIT to see you and Chris...I just noticed this morning that all the bridges ARE made of roses.
I should be looking at life through the eyes of Elephant Larry more often.

Hm. Just realized that my first PS could be read as:
"This was my favorite part of the city...(certainly) NOT the festival (which I hated)!"
When in fact I meant I loved the festival AND I loved the sign as my favorite Portland landmark. I love everything! Portland Portland Portland! Jordi, tell White Stag I say hi and I love it! See you later today!
