SketchFest NYC 2006 - Applications Now Available

[Ed Note: This is relatively unrelated to Elephant Larry, but I know a bunch of sketch comedians read this blog, and we're tryin' to get the word out, so...]

Hey Sketch Comedians!

It is a great honor to announce the 2nd ever SKETCHFEST NYC!

Last year’s Festival was a huge success, featuring nineteen groups from across the country, sold-out shows, feature stories in the Hollywood Reporter, Time Out New York, and the Daily News, and industry attendance from MTV, VH1, HBO, ABC, NBC, TV Land, the Aspen Comedy Festival, and many more.

For the past seven years, SketchFests have been popping up all over the country, including Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, and Portland. Now it’s time to bring the best comedy groups in the country together in what is arguably the comedy capital of the world: New York City.

For one weekend in June (June 8-10, 2006), sketch comedy groups from around the country will present three days of non-stop sketch comedy action, as part of SketchFest NYC, the ONLY official SketchFest on the East Coast!

If you or someone you know is part of a sketch comedy group, then you (or they) should head to SketchFestNYC.com right now and download an application…and fill it out…and yes, send it in.

So if you are in a sketch group, please apply for SketchFest NYC at SketchFestNYC.com

Let the rebirth of sketch comedy in NYC continue!

XOXO,
Sketchfest NYC
