Given the wonderful amount of blog spam we've gotten today, I've turned off anonymous commenting for the time being. We still love you, and your comments though, so do us a favor, and sign up for a blogspot account quick and easy.
I'll probably turn the feature back on in the next week or two.

Alex, do you know about Blogger's Word Verification option? It's not the most user-friendly blog format, but it's eliminated my spam almost completely.
What think you, non-signed in anonymi of the EL blog (and regular blog-commenters). Your choice: word-verification, or no?
As soon as I opened my big fat mouth about how great Word Verification is, I got some blogspam about iPods -- and it wasn't even close to Alex's hilarious commentary on the new wave of iCrap.
That said, I'm indifferent about EL activating the Word Verification feature a la TicketBastard. I actually enjoy the way you five rip spammers a new one in a public forum, but I'd be the first to say how infuriating it is to get blog spam.
