Pitchers AND Catchers

Baseball's back!

I believe some other teams opened their spring training a little earlier than the Yankees, but what does that matter? The Yankees report today, baby! With good news off the bat!

Here's what you should know going into the season:

-the Chicago White Sox are coming off their first title in 88 years...and no one really cares that much.

-the World Baseball Classic is making its debut during spring training. Rules changes such as strict pitch counts and players dropping out make the WBC to baseball what non-New York pizza is to pizza: similar but inferior. I'll be watching it anyway.

-Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins begins the season with a 36-game hitting streak, good for 10th best of all time and the longest in over 25 years. Root against him so a Yankee can keep the record! Boo, history! Yay, Yankees!

-I'm predicting a Yankees-Mets World Series. There, I said it.

I'm predicting a Mets-White Sox series, becuase only yankee fans don't care about how great the white sox team is.

Go Yanks. Go Yanks. And go Yanks.

I'm predicting an above-average Mets season that results in a Willie Randolph contract extention and more awkward exchanges with Joe Torre in Subway commercials!

if the Philly's rotation was a baseball team, they'd be the Royals.
