The Saratoga Triangle

My brother Patrick and I went to the National College Comedy Festival at Skidmore College this weekend! The festival was great, the highlights being my brother, Tristan Haggerty, and his group the Pappy Parker Players, Cornell's Skits-O-Phrenics and, on a less biased note, Emerson College's This Is Pathetic. Wow were they good. (That's the best link I could find, I'm sorry)

Other highlights, on a purely noteworthy level include:

-our transmission busting five miles outside of Saratoga Springs. We were left carless for the weekend and took cabs (and much appreciated rides from bro-bro and Skits-O's) all weekend. The car is still there.

-Patrick losing his phone. We were subsequently pranked by a 9-year old kid about a dozen times. Finally when I had enough gumption to answer the phone with a "Hi, Derek!" (I found out his name was Derek when my return calls went to voicemail), it was his mother apologizing profusely and basically trashing the bejesus out of this kid. When we got the phone returned, the kid's father said "Sorry my kid's such an ass." Apology accepted!

-Seeing the Pink Panther. It was fneh, but better than I expected.

-Our train back home (remember how our transmission gave out and we didn't have a car? Yeah.) was delayed two hours. Apparently there was some snow or something.

-I forgot my sketch-writing idea-holding notebook, aka my most prized possession, on the train. This was after making fun of Patrick all train-ride for losing his cell phone.

And to top it all off, my wife left me, Patrick's umbrella was blown inside-out, we're being deported back to our respective home countries tomorrow and a bus splashed muddy slush all over us! We get no respect!
