Mass Stupidity

In my research about my alma mater's biggest win of all time, my mind wandered, as it so often does.

First it wandered to New Jersey in general. It kept wandering then to the Jersey Devil, mass hysteria in general, and finally to the Mothman.

If you are familiar with the 2002 movie The Mothman Prophecies (and, really, who isn't?) then you know the story: a crazy whatever known as "Mothman" triggers a series of bizarre events and phone calls to Richard Gere, all finally leading up to a bridge collapsing, killing 46 people. Oh, uh, spoiler alert.

Anyway, I now know that this fictional perpetrator of these events has a STEEL STATUE IN THE TOWN WHERE THE BRIDGE COLLAPSED AND KILLED 46 PEOPLE.

You'd think they'd wanna get over something like that.
