Official Group Emoticon

It's almost the end of the 00's, so I think it's time to talk emoticons.

What do you think Elephant Larry's official group emoticon would be? I have three responses myself:

What I think our funniest group emoticon would be: ;(

What I wish our group emoticon was: :D

What I think our group emoticon probably actually is: :) . Nothing wrong with a smiley-face, it's just a bit straight-up.

So what say you? If you think you know the emoticon that perfectly embodies Elephant Larry, please put your money where your mouth is.*

New Emoticon!

Maybe?

D:

If you read him right to left, he is AGHST.  His jaw has dropped and he can't believe what's going on.

I give it a 9/10.

Chocolate Time!

This isn't anything new, but apparently some folks tried to make the worst music ever on purpose.

The beginning is funny, but I suggest skipping to four minutes in. Those coupla minutes there are my favorite part.

Also 8:30ish.

And 15 but less so.

Oh and 19.

Sawyer's Nicknames

Using Sawyer's Nickname Generator, I have deduced what Sawyer would call each of us:

Me: Brainpan
Jeff: Bubba
Geoff: Stubby
Chris: Wilbur
Stefan: Grasshopper

One hundred percent accuracy, Sawyer Nickname Generator. And yes, this is a Lost Fan Blog. What?

This Post is for Chris

Who, despite the odds, has bucked the Internet's half-life for trends, and still enjoys LOLCats:

We're One of PC Mag's Top 100 Blogs

A PC Magazine Favorite BlogI'm pretty sure this was exclusively based on my last two hilarious posts, but we've been named one of PC Mag's "Top 100 Favorite Blogs" for 2007:

Funny sketch comedy groups don't always make for funny sketch comedy group blogs. Take the number of bad big-screen adaptations of successful Saturday Night Live sketches, multiply that by 500, and you're about halfway to the number of unfunny comedy blogs by otherwise hilarious people. Rather surprisingly, the one by New York sketch comedy group Elephant Larry is a funny blog written by funny people in a funny sketch comedy group. The site tackles pop culture and the day-to-day lives of the group's members, and features regular postings of Elephant Larry's own consistently hilarious Web video antics.

Check out ther rest of the list here, and congrats to our friend Jesse for being one of "Five Podcasts Worth Downloading."

Help Me With My Trash

The currently top featured video on YouTube is this:

If you read the description (and I guess, watch the video or something), it doesn't seem that bad; it's actually about recycling and being kind to people and whatever.

But when you just look at the picture, and the title, it really seems like some guy decided to ask his loyal viewers what he should put in the garbage today. And most likely, the video would him being like: "Hey, guys, thanks so much for your comments and views, I really appreciate it. So listen, I have this milk carton I finished today, and I was wondering if I should throw it out in the garbage? Also, this banana peel, this tin can, and this old shoe*."

And then he got featured on the front page of YouTube for it.

Which is actually not a ridiculous series of events, except that it is. You know what I mean?

The internet sucks.

*In this scenario, he only has garbage that would be regularly eaten by a goat.

Check Out This Awesome Website

Hey, you guys will never guess what's at http://elephantlarry.blogpsot.com/.

This accidental mis-typing clearly trumped whatever other hysterical thing I was heading here to write.

War Horsies

Driving to PA on Saturday, we passed by a giant warehouse emblazoned with huge capital letters saying:

WARHORSE.COM

Which seemed like a horrible mis-spelling of "Warehouse." At the very least, it seemed like they couldn't get Warehouse.com, so bought Warhorse.com.

How wrong we were. Who could have predicted that Warhorse.com was a website where you could find horses actually outfitted for war?

America is amazing.

What's Up, Mah Bloggaz?

I case you were wondering, these are the bloggers that were out on the Fabulous Ford Escape From Boredom Vacation On The Lot (tm):

Side note: The more I stare at the word Fabulous, the more I wonder if it isn't spelled Fabolous, which I know is the rapper. But really, doesn't it look wrong spelled with the "u"?

Stefan & Alex's LA Blog-Venture

Hey Elephant Larry blog readers, guess what Stefan and I are doing? Rocking on your dime!

...Well, not exactly, but we're currently out in LA, about to go on a two day Ford Escape sponsored adventure in LA, staying at the chic-chic Hotel Roosevelt, and shmoozing with the stars. And its all because of our comedy blog, which is clearly the best place to promote Ford cars.

You guys buy a lot of cars, right?

In any case, right now, I'm sitting in a pool-side room while a New Line Cinema party is rocking it outside. I have a little deck outside of the room, and I THINK i can just reach the tray of cookies they've set up from there, so I'm going to try to steal some cookies/a glimpse of John Travolta*.

Stay tuned throughout the week, as Stefan and I explain how we sold out without a second thought.

*I'm assuming a) this is a Hairspray party based on the ridiculous amount of Hairspray songs they're playing at a pool party, and b) John Travolta is standing next to the cookies.

Additionally

If you're going to make some sort of hilarious joke about spoiling the book, I would like to read your joke, especially if its super-funny.

However, if you title your blog post something like "Harry Potter 7 Spoilers! Seriously!" I'm not going to read it, even on the pretty good chance you're making a joke.

Gawker, I'm looking in your direction.

[Ed Note: Please note that I linked the above Gawker story, assuming its some sort of joke. I didn't actually read it, in case it turned out to be real spoilers.]

Working on the Design Again...

...So the blog may look a little stupid for the next hour or so. BEAR WITH ME! GOD!

Update: Okay, should be pretty much back to normal, with some snazzy new features. I'll be adding back the "peekaboo" comments later, but in the meantime, please let me know if there's anything TOTALLY CRAZY you notice about the design. Thanks!
